ABOUT

Fantastic! I’m so glad you’re here.

THE CLIFFS NOTES:
I parlayed perfectionism and a freakish obsession with typography into a career as an agency art director, then went out on my own. Essentially, I listen, solve problems and tell stories — in both of my roles as creative director and mom.

THE WHOLE ENCHILADA:
Baptized by fire as a junior designer at The Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia, I credit my mentors for instilling an incredible work ethic and an appreciation for bourbon before heading to NYC in 2000.

As ACD at DiMassimo, I co-lead creative for Hotwire, The Plaza Hotel, The Island ECN, Crunch and more pitches than I could could count. Eventually I lost my Southern accent and Ann Taylor wardrobe. I moved on to Euro RSCG to work on Volvo, Evian and Dos Equis and helped land Exxon Mobil, Jaguar, Charles Schwab and Uniqlo. I screwed up some, grew up a lot and honed the craft of making work I loved that also solves real business problems.

In 2007, I struck out on my own with my first two clients, Freelancers Union and Meetup. In between helping start-ups and non-profits build their brands, I freelanced at creative agencies. From spirits, automotive, finance, tech and fashion to retail, fitness and healthcare — I have a passion for finding out what‘s keeping my clients up at night, and bring unrelenting commitment to craft while creating solutions for their brands.

Recently, I helped Peloton make its mark on the fitness industry. The New York Times calls Peloton “a cult favorite” and Men’s Health awarded them as “the best cardio machine on the planet.” Since then, I’ve sought to collaborate with other greats in the health and wellness industry like The Vitamin Shoppe and Brooks Running. I‘ve had the chance to stretch my legs as writer, producer and talent as well as art director and designer. When such fulfilling personal and professional opportunities collide, I can’t even call it work. I am hashtag blessed with zero sense of irony.

Things I’ve made have been recognized by the One Show, the Effies, the ADDYs, Adweek’s Best Spots of the Year, Archive, Creativity, Communication Arts, Print, Creative Review, AICP, AdAge, ‘boards, the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Pictoplasma Animation Festival in Berlin, and has received press in New York Magazine, Fast Company, Crain’s Business Daily and Motionographer. I’m proud that my work for Crunch was stolen out of airplane seat back pockets and off gym walls, and my subway posters for Freelancers Union have been featured in nearly a dozen movies and TV shows, including repeat appearances in Lena Dunham’s “Girls.”

At ridiculous hours of the morning, I do an awful lot of running, often with my kids in tow. Seems crazy to some, but it’s actually what keeps me sane.

So. How can I help?

Juggling parenting, work, training and trying not to suck at being a present, supportive partner and friend is a constant balancing act. Sometimes I drop ALL the balls. Sometimes I’ve had enough coffee to keep them all going. Regardless, the struggle, the journey and seeing my kids’ faces after I finish are always worth it, whether my race day performance meets my expectations or not. #victoryismine #onemotherofarunner
